Ellen Muehlberger is Professor of History and Middle East Studies at the University of Michigan, where she studies the history of Christianity between the years 300 C.E. to 700 C.E. Her book, Moment of Reckoning: Imagined Death and Its Consequences in Late Ancient Christianity, was published by Oxford University Press in 2019.
