Leading the Rebellion: Questing to Succeed in Work and Life

By Jason Kingsley

Rebellion Publishing
ISBN: 978-1-78108-918-7

A self-help / personal philosophy guide with a medieval twist, as the author uses a modern interpretation of the code of chivalry to lead his life to the fullest. His knightly virtues have led him to create one of the top YouTube channels related to the Middle Ages.

What follows is how I see these twelve knightly pillars in modern life, and how I have tried to live my own life according to their tenets. I was going to say, ‘my own life, both professional and personal’, but for me there is no real delineation: I am one of the lucky people who loves what I do so much that I don’t mark it as ‘work’ to delineate it from ‘home’. I hope that you find it interesting, useful and applicable, whoever you are.

Who is this book for?

While this book probably won’t find itself shelved with medieval history texts, there is an audience for it – those looking to better understand and implement personal philosophies. If you are looking for a set of life rules, then this might appeal to you. Medievalists interested in medievalism and how the ‘code of chivalry’ gets reinterpreted in the modern world could also find this to be an interesting read.
