How the borders of Venice changed in the Middle Ages

A video showing how the borders of the Venetian Republic changed between the years 697 and 1797 AD. The first year marks the traditional date when Paolo Lucio Anafesto was named the first Doge of Venice, while the final year is when the republic collapsed in the midst of an invasion from the armies of Napoleon Bonaparte.

The video is created by the Youtuber Khey Pard – click here to view his channel. He also lists the Doges of Venice for each year.
