Battle of Shrewsbury documentary on History Hit

Dan Jones and Michael Livingston have teamed up to present a documentary telling the story of the Battle of Shrewsbury. You can watch it on History Hit.

The Battle of Shrewsbury, which was fought on July 21, 1403, saw King Henry IV have to fight for his kingdom against the rebel Henry Hotspur. Dan and Michael show the events leading up to the battle and then go to the actual battlefield to detail the crucial role played the Henry IV’s son, the future Henry V, in the fighting.

Professor Michael Livingston, who also co-hosts the Bow & Blade podcast, tells Medievalists.net he greatly enjoyed making this episode. “One of the things I appreciate most about working with History Hit is the fact that they truly care to get it right from script to shooting to airing,” Michael says.
