Labyrinths in Medieval Manuscripts: The Liber Floridus (ca. 1121)
Paper by Divna Manolova
Given at the Labyrinths for Wellbeing at the York Festival of Ideas in June 2021
Excerpt: One particular example of a medieval labyrinth in a medieval manuscript book which I had encountered in my work and i was deeply fascinated by. So I thought this is a great opportunity to pick it up again and to see what I can come up with and what I can tell you about it. That particular book is called the Liber Floridus it dates to the 12th century.
