Talking about medieval artwork that connects France to Scotland. The first part of a conversation with Bryony Coombs.
Cross-referencing this MS with the 'Berry Armorial' (BnF fr 9485) another work with substantial Scottish material: here Melville, Samuelton, Dalzell & Turnbull. Favourite French versions of Scottish names are: bouquenel – Buchanan/ dabrecherme – Abercrombie/ coquenton – Johnston https://t.co/iy4i5HlPLq pic.twitter.com/knATVL2dcV
