Kate Buchanan is joined by Victoria Hodgson to discuss Victoria’s journey to studying medieval Scottish monastic houses and their lands.

Victoria Hodgson specializes in medieval monastic history, where she explores areas of monastic interaction with regional lay communities, with a particular interest in commemoration practices, saints’ cults, landscape history, and foreign and domestic trade.

She co-edited and contributed to Medieval and Early Modern Representations of Authority in Scotland and the British Isles, which was published by Routledge in 2016.
