Kate Buchanan is joined by Iain MacInnes to discuss the ‘second’ of the Scottish Wars of Independence and how it was a civil war as well as a war with England. 

Dr Iain MacInnes is a Senior Lecture at the University of the Highlands and Islands. His research focuses on the Second Scottish Wars of Independence (1332-1357), with particular interest in the conduct and behaviour of Scottish and English forces at war. She co-edited and contributed to Medieval and Early Modern Representations of Authority in Scotland and the British Isles, which was published by Routledge in 2016.
