Sally Pentecost joins the podcast to discuss her journey to studying medieval Scottish history,  how objects connect us to the past in a unique way, and how Dig It! Scotland helps make these connections possible.

Sally Pentecost is the Communications and Events Officer for Dig It! Scotland. Originally from County Durham, Sally moved to Edinburgh in 2013 to pursue an MA in History, and then continued her studies with an MLitt in Mediaeval History from St Andrews in 2017. Scotichronicast is hosted by Kate Buchanan. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Stirling in 2014, with her primary research is on medieval Scottish castles and their landscapes. She co-edited and contributed to Medieval and Early Modern Representations of Authority in Scotland and the British Isles, which was published by Routledge in 2016.
