Synopsis: In 1335, Guido da Vigevano, an Italian physician, wrote a treatise for the French king Philip VI, on the subject of launching a crusade to recapture Jerusalem and the Holy Land.  This article examines the chaptes in this treatise about warfare and in particular the siege machines and devices that Guido detailed.
