King Arthur is one of the most famous legendary heroes of the Middle Ages. But who was he? How did he become so famous? And how did all the many things we now associate with his legend such as the round table, Excalibur, Camelot, and Lancelot develop? Literary scholar Dr. Kathryn Walton takes you through the development of the Arthurian legend from its roots in oral stories, to its rise in historical chronicle, to its flourishing in magical romance.
The course starts on November 13th with live classes each Sunday (at 2 pm EST). This six-week course will feature live sessions over video, plus resources and readings.
The courses will be run through Thinkific, a leading platform for online education.
