Professor Vincent is Professor of Medieval History at the University of East Anglia and Director of the Magna Carta Project. He is the author of Magna Carta: A Very Short Introduction(Oxford University Press, 2012) and has written a dozen books and about a hundred articles on kingship, charters and relics within the Anglo-French world of the 12th and 13th centuries. This year’s lecture celebrates the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta which falls on 15 June 2015.
