Author’s Synopsis: This is a 10 minute synopsis of my doctoral dissertation concerning humour in medieval English literature and art delivered at the 2nd Annual Doctoral Research Showcase held in University College Cork on the 21st of June 2011. I was one of twelve finalists in this category and the presentation is purposefully designed to communicate my research for non-specialist dissemination.
