Introduction: The aim of this study is to investigate the different techniques and qualities of yarn used in nålebinding in Finnish Viking Age and Medieval finds. Many people do nålebinding using only natural grey, thick yarn in simplest technique, but did they do so in the Viking Age? No, they did not, I can say now.
