The new series is set to release April 17th, 2011 onHBO in the US and HBO Canada for Canadian viewers. It is based on the award winning, best selling fantasy novels by George R.R. Martin. The show’s 10 episode season will be based on the first book in Martin’s Series “A Game of Thrones”, (published in 1996.) detailing the stories of Eddard Stark, the Lannisters, the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the Dothraki Horde and the Wall.
